Synopsis
Life goes on and change is inevitable - a fact that Aline must accept upon returning to Brazil, following deportation from the UK. Faced with uncertainty about her future, family tensions amid a worrying drought, and the ailing health of her dog, she must re-anchor herself to home.
About the Filmmaker
Charlie Reader is an award-winning writer-director who has made music videos and short films. His debut short ‘Everything You Didn’t Say’ won the Audience Award at the European Independent Film Festival and Best Screenplay at the Parma International Film Festival. Co-written with award-winning screenwriter Peter Fellows, the film stars Olga Kurylenko and Christian Cooke. Whether through touching sincerity or comic cynicism, Reader strives to capture the nuances of emotion, coupling human storytelling with a distinct visual style.
